About ENACT

Discover how ENACT supports meaningful parent-child interactions through innovative technology and evidence-based strategies.

Enhancing Talk Across Contexts (ENACT) is a project developed by the University of Florida's Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies.

ENACT focuses on supporting parents in promoting language development with their young children during everyday activities. The ENACT mobile application uses innovative technology to provide real-time, context-specific communication strategies to parents.

When a parent enters a specific location with their child, such as a grocery store, park, or library, the app delivers customized tips and prompts designed to enhance parent-child interactions in that specific environment.

By providing support directly in the contexts where parents and children spend time together, ENACT aims to increase the quantity and quality of parent-child communications, ultimately supporting children's language development and learning.
